New Work in Progress Alert

While I’m in the limbo that is submissions, I’m working on my next middle-grade novel. This project is different from my other two books as it’s a spooky paranormal genre. But, you can still expect some feisty female characters and quirky comedy. Here’s a poorly written teaser for the book:

Beatrice Bumble of Beverly Place

There’s never a story too big for twelve-year-old journalist Beatrice Bumble and her cat Marcel. When Bee hears rumors that her beloved home, The Beverly Place Hotel, is at risk of shutting down, she’s on the case in a flash. When a medium and her son check in, Beatrice learns there’s more to the hotel than meets the eye. Fates, ghosts, hidden rooms, three-headed dogs, and prophecies of doom are just a few examples of the twists and turns Beatrice faces in order to save her beloved home.

Will a trip to the underworld be enough to save what matters most?

I’m currently working on the first draft and it will probably undergo many changes since it’s out in the real world forever from now.

If you’re interested in reading an early edition of this book, stay tuned for future callings for beta readers.
